BUNK HOUSE LODGING
The 2-bedroom bunk house, which sits inside the stables, is very appealing and economical lodging. One bedroom has four twin bunk beds, the other bedroom has a queen bed. The kitchen is completely stocked with all cookware and utensils and numerous small appliances to prepare meals. The living room area has a TV with satellite channels and DVD player. The bunk house also features central heat and air conditioning, a large bathroom, with another full bath and laundry facilities in the stables. The Bunk House has become a popular vacation rental, summer camp lodging, and a communal lodging option for clinic attendees and girls' getaways. Guests are welcome to ride or hike the trails, use the grill and picnic shelter down on the river, or congregate in the party room in the indoor arena in case of inclement weather (no facility fees). Stabling is available for an additional fee. Reservations can be made with CJ directly with cash or check. If you wish to pay by credit card the Bunk House is listing #1554310 on www.vrbo.com. No pets, no smoking. Extended stays welcome, ask for weekly or monthly rate.
CAMPING
The campground is open year round, has five water and electric hookups (three 30 amp sites, and two 50 amp sites), fire rings, and picnic tables. The paved pads range from 45' to 60' in length. A dump station is located next to the stables. We have opened up the campground to accommodate extended stay campers, so we don't have vacancies very often. Please call to check on availability, monthly and weekly rates.
Primitive group tent camping near the picnic shelter on the river, has been temporarily closed due to covid and the extra cleanup and disinfecting that would be necessary for the bathrooms and other common areas used. When it reopens to groups (unknown at this time), the shelter has a brick charcoal grill at the far end, and a large brick fire ring for bon fires. Please be prepared to pack out your own trash - dumpsters are not provided because they attract hungry critters! Camp fee is $5/person/night with a $100/night minimum.
Reservations are required for all types of lodging and stabling. The rate sheet is not published on this web site because rates are subject to change. Contact CJ to request a copy of the current rate sheet.
TRAILS
We do not rent horses to the general public. The trails are not open to the general public at this time, only available to boarders, students, event participants, and overnight guests. Trails will be temporarily closed during very wet conditions for the protection of riders, horses and natural resources. Trails may also be closed during event weekends. Links to the downloadable trail rules and the trail map are listed below. Due to mountainous terrain on some trails, use of a breast collar is highly recommended!
The indoor arena is only open to ranch guests, students, and boarders and must be watered down before entering!

(Note: Following new trail construction planned for spring 2023, the trail map will be updated)
The horse and hiking trail system consists of approximately nine miles of a variety of terrain and scenery with picnic areas in many locations and flat sandy frontage on the Grove River. Most of the trails are single-track through the woods. The trails on the north side of the property also have good footing and pretty scenery, but they are more challenging - narrower single track with elevation changes and water crossings. The trail ratings are on the back of the trail map. Flat trails along the river or the gravel/dirt roads may be preferred by novice trail riders. Trails are marked with color-coded horseshoes, trail names on the perimeter red trail, and junction letters. A small obstacle course has been added on the trail system as an option. If you are interested in organizing a moonlight trail ride, mother-daughter retreat, girls only camp-ride, or other event for your club or group, contact CJ for rates and availability.
