CAMPING

The campground is
open year round, has six water and electric hookups (30 amp and 110volt), fire rings, and picnic tables. The paved pads range
from 45' to 60' in length. Climate-controlled full bath and laundry facilities are located in the
stables. A dump station is located behind the indoor arena. Bagged ice is available
upon request. Reservations are required. Contact CJ for rate sheet and availability. All campers with horses must have
a signed waiver on file, proof of negative coggins on each horse, and agree to abide by all ranch rules.

There are small clearings behind
each site for those who wish to camp with their horses using a high line or portable corrals. Horses are not allowed to be
tied to the trailers in the campground at any time. Please be familiar with the camping
rules prior to your arrival. Click on the link below to open and download the .pdf document. Stalls, sheltered
run pens, and primitive camp sites are also available at the ranch.

There is plenty of space near the picnic
shelter on the river for individuals, groups or families who prefer primitive tent camping. Pictured below is
the new picnic shelter with oil lamps, a brick charcoal grill at the far end, and a large
brick fire ring with rustic seating. Please be prepared to pack out your own trash - dumpsters are not provided because
they attract hungry critters!

We do not rent horses to the general public.
However, riders with their own horses are welcome to trailer in and use the arenas, trails, and picnic areas
for an introductory grounds fee of $5/horse. Trails will be temporarily closed during very wet conditions
for the protection of riders, horses and natural resources. Trails may also be closed during event weekends and on a few managed
hunt days. Day riders must call first
to confirm trails and facilities are open, let us know the approximately time of arrival, have a signed waiver on file, bring
proof of negative coggins, and agree to abide by all ranch and trail rules. Links to the downloadable trail rules and the
trail map are listed above. Due to mountainous terrain on some trails, use of a breast collar is
highly recommended! Please indicate if you would like to ride in the indoor arena so it can be properly watered down prior
to your arrival.

The horse and hiking trail system consists of a variety
of terrain and scenery with picnic areas in many locations and lots of frontage on the Grove River. Most of the trails are
single-track through the woods. These two photos were taken on the south river trail,
which is very flat with sandy footing, perfect for beginners, or for a nice stretch of cantering! The trails on the north
side of the property also have good footing and pretty scenery, but they are more challenging - narrower single track with
lots of curves, elevation changes, and water crossings. The trail sections for intermediate and advanced riders are marked in yellow, blue bypass trails or the gravel/dirt roads may be preferred by novice trail
riders. The link to download your color-coded map and trail rules is above. A small obstacle course has been added on the trail system as an optional spur trail.
Additional obstacles are available to be set up at the indoor and outdoor arenas. More obstacle photos can be viewed
on the "Gallery" page.
